Dzongri Trek
We did winter Dzongri trek in Sikkim with Himalaya Trekkers. They arranged everything for us and we were very satisfied. The communication was fast. On the trek we had excellent team – experienced guide Ram from Yuksom and cook Chandra. The food was delicious. Even the trek base – homestay in Yuksom was gorgeous. We did this trek in February, it was challenging, but with the support of Himalaya Trekkers team, we successed .
Bajre Dara Trek
We had a great short trek with Himalaya Trekkers up to Bajre Dara over the course of 3 days. Ram, our guide, and his team were brilliant every step of the way, providing everything from local knowledge to a seemingly endless supply of great food and snacks. Everything was meticulously organised and the views at the top were absolutely stunning! Thoroughly recommend this company for any looking to trek in this part of the world.
Dodital Trek
It was a great experience with Himalaya Trekkers, their hospitality and food was really good. The trek guide and the kitchen staff was so humble that they made sure of fulfilling all of our needs and wishes. My best memory of this trip is roasting potatoes in the campfire, we all enjoyed talking under the fool moon and eating roasted potatoes.
Sikkim Monastery Trail
I was fortunate to locate the Sikkim Monastery Trail when researching how to spend a week in West Sikkim. Himalayas Trekkers were terrific to deal with – going above and beyond the basics to facilitate this hiking trip for me as a solo traveller and at short notice. The trip was personalised as I wanted to spend 7 rather than 5 days and Sapta even provided urgent late night help with train ticket logistics for travel after the hiking.
Once I arrived on the ground in Pelling I met with local guide Bhaichung and instantly I realised that this was going to be a wonderful week. The pitch and atmosphere of the journey was exactly what I was looking for and my week in the hills of western Sikkim will remain in my heart forever.
Har Ki Dun Homestay Trek
If you want to trekk the Himalayas and enjoying it without “killing” yourself, this is the way to do it! The homestay version of the Har Ki Dun trekk gave us a very unique and authentic experience of what life and nature is like in this high and remote area. Breathtaking beautiful views, spacious and clean accomodation though basic. The thing I found challenging, besides the altitude and trekking up-down-up-down, was the toilet, wich was not close to the bedrooms. At night you had to go outside, climb steps and fumble in the dark. I had brought a small potty that I don’t know what I would have done without!
The guide was really caring, making sure we all managed to get “there” at our own pace never rushing us on. “Slowly, slowly…” as he said. During the entire adventure I felt that we were in good, totally trustworthy hands.
We were only four trekkers (friends) in our group. Many companies don’t do small groups like that. But it was a perfect number to fully enjoy the trekk. The organiser of our trekk was as accomodating, helpful and trustworthy as our guide
If you want a perfect partner with whom you plan and complete your trekk in the Himalayas – I reckomend Himalaya Trekkers a 100%.
Sandakphu Phalut Trek
Himalayan Trekkers is a fantastic tour operator that I highly recommend. They had provided an experienced and knowledgeable guide who will take you on the adventure of a lifetime. The treks are well-organized and the food is delicious. I especially appreciated the company’s commitment to sustainability and ethical tourism.
In short, Himalayan Trekkers is a great choice for anyone looking for a safe, enjoyable, and sustainable trekking experience in Sandakphu – Phalut trek route.
Special mention: Dawa Drukpa is an awesome guide and Robin is an awesome porter, even better as people.
Thanks Himalayan Trekkers.
Sandakphu Phalut Trek
We booked a 7D6N trek to Sandakphu & Phalut, and a driver for the following days to take us to Sikkim. The communication in advance was clear and swift. We had a great guide (Amar) and driver. We can recommend booking your trek through Himalaya Trekkers, but be aware of the more than basic conditions in the GTA huts run by the government, which are mandatory accommodation for foreigners.
Bajre Dara Trek
Had a very amazing 5D4N hike Bajre Dara trek organized by Himalaya Trekkers. Sapta from HT was very patient, understanding and helpful in terms of pre-trip planning. Our local guide – Bhaichung — was super friendly, and took great care of us during the hikes. He made sure all of us enjoy the hike and took great pains to make sure that all of us were safe. His crew also made incredible meals out in nature – giving us fuel for the hikes! All in all, a 10/10 service from the whole Himalaya Trekkers crew. GOOD JOB!
Sandakphu Phalut Trek
Overall great. Amazing that everyone showed up and knew how to get me from place to place. Lucky to have a clear day from Sandakphu to Phalut. Experienced a range of weather and topography, a full experience. Amar was professional and pleasant. Thanks for guiding me through the process.
Sandakphu Phalut Trek
We had the Sandakphu trek with them during our Lunar new year and it was great. We enjoyed the scenery and overall, just the food is different from ours so some members were not get used to and had to eat the food we brought from home.
Dzongri Trek
We had an amazing time with Himalaya Trekkers. Wonderful communication beforehand, marvellous guide Ram and great support team. Beautiful surroundings. Thank you!
Sikkim Monastery Trail
We had the most wonderful time on our 5-day homestay trek through West Sikkim! Everything was perfectly organized and our local guide was super helpful and knowledgeable. We met lovely people on our way, enjoyed the stunning nature, had amazing food and learned a lot about the spirit and soul of the kind-hearted Sikkimese people. Thanks you so much to everyone at HT for creating these wonderful memories!
Bajre Dara Trek
First of all, my partner and I loved every employee and team member who was part of (organizing) this trek!
They provided us with everything we needed and much more. Took our wishes into account and you can really tell they wanted to provide us with the best experience possible.
We did the Bajre Dara Trek, private tour since we wished to do it on specific data. We were quite unlucky with the weather the first days but this has nothing to do with the agency. The last two mornings (waking up at 5 a.m.) made it possible to have a clear view! In the end we did have the views we wished to have.
There is only one reason why we give a four star review instead of five:
The first drive to starting point, second and third day (hiking) were a bit too short for our taste. According to the average time it takes for people doing this trek it took them about 6 hours of trekking. My partner and I did it within 2,5 hours with breaks. We think the day could have been done within 4 days which would allowed us to see Darjeeling.
I think if your fitness levels are similar to ours (sporting 3/4 times a week, both fitness and running), you can suggest to do it in 4 days! We are pretty sure they can make it happen.
This would mean you take it a little easy on the first day or second one in order to get used to the higher altitude that you might be used to.
If it was based on the staff only we would have given it a 5 star review, 100%.
To finish our review we will say that our next trekking in India we will most defiantly book with HT again. We will for sure ask for Ram as our guide since he felt like family to us. He’s one of a kind with a good sense of humor.
Sikkim Monastery Trail
I’m a bestselling travel writer (“Turn Right at Machu Picchu,” etc.), who needed to assemble a somewhat complicated tour to Sikkim that combined serious trekking with deep cultural reporting–and to set it all up in less than two weeks, from a 10 1/2 hour time difference. Sapta at Himalaya Trekkers asked all the right questions, tailored the trip to my exact needs (including visits to hidden places even his team had never gone before), assembled an A-plus group of guides, translators and support staff (cook, driver, porters, etc.) and brought the whole thing in at a very reasonable price. Two months later, I’m convinced of two things: Everyone should see Sikkim once in their lifetime, and they should hire Himalaya Trekkers to handle the job.
Brahmatal Trek
Our customised trek, Brahmatal and Bedni Ali Bugyal in eight days, was perfect. We especially enjoyed the combination of the mountains and the local culture. Trek was physically challenging enough, but not too heavy. Dev and his excellent team made us feel safe and the trek was well balanced and planned in advance. We also enjoyed the informative discussions during the trek and off course the good food. Special thanks to the one staff member who walked eight hours to pick a bottle of curd to cure my stomach. Such a hospitality is unforgettable.
We can recommend HT for everyone who really wants to have a good hike.
Sandakphu Trek
Did a customised trek to Sandakphu with my wife and our 9 yr old daughter. The experience was very good, right from the booking of the trek to the actual arrangements during the trek. The entire team was very helpful and will highly recommend Himalaya Trekkers to everyone..
Goecha La Trek
Last week a group of 7 individuals part of the HT group all completed the Goechala trek very successfully. We were given complete support and immense guidance even before the start of the trek by Himalayan trekkers. When we got to Yuksom, trek leader Ram and his staff were caring for us and made sure we were all taken care off very well and they supported our finish. The final touch by the chef by baking us a wonderful cake in the absence of an oven was very overwhelming.
Looking forward to more of these Himalayan treks with HT.
Valley Of Flowers Trek
This trek to Valley of flowers and Hemkund Sahib between 15 – 20 July 2022 was organised by Himalaya Trekkers. Though Saptarshi had prepared us mentally for this trek it was a bit hard. But it was worth the effort with the ever helpful Mahipat, who was our guide. He not only knew the area well, but sections where we found it difficult, he held our hand to descend.
To top it we got wonderful weather and all in all, it was a beautiful experience.
I would recommend Himalaya Trekkers for organising your treks.

Satopanth Tal Trek
Very well organised and skilled staff to take care of all the different aspects of the trek. Not only they help to make it a memorable experience but also they help you with preparation/booking/shopping so that you won’t feel lost.
